Community Engagement and Advocacy
The Ballard Chamber exists to support local businesses and the broader community. As such, Chamber members are encouraged to get involved and join any of our working committees. This is a great way for your business or organization to engage and enhance your presence within the Ballard community.
The Chamber is also highly engaged with civic issues, especially as they relate to our Ballard community and affect the way we do business. The Chamber offers opportunities through its own events – and partner events with other Chambers and organizations – to participate in interesting and informative panel discussions, key note speeches and political candidate forums.
The Ballard Chamber is actively working to build a broader Chamber coalition that will become a strong voice and advocate for Ballard interests at City Hall. In 2013, the Chamber has been instrumental in creating the Ballard Partnership for Smart Growth. The Partnership represents more than 50 Ballard business and community leaders who will work this year to create a Commercial Revitalization plan for Ballard. Read more about the Partnership here.
